Clear and Clean offer customers throughout Devon and Cornwall a ‘biocide treatment’ to treat organic growth on roofs.

Many roofs are affected with algae, lichen and moss which damage the tiles and shorten the life span of the roof overall.

We do not offer or recommend high pressure cleaning of roofs; our services are for low pressure cleaning without causing unwanted damage. High pressure cleaning can cause damage to roof tiles, and force unwanted water into your roof. Gutters can become blocked by moss on the roofs, this can also add to unwanted maintenance.

We do not use sodium hypochlorite on roofs, we only offer ‘PROFESSIONAL BIOCIDE’.

We will scrape and remove 70-90% of all moss from your roof. To kill any remaining organic growth that might remain on roof tiles we then treat tiles with a ‘professional use only’ biocide treatment

To remove the remaining roof fungi, with the aid of weathering i.e. wind, rain and sun ‘Professional biocide’ continues to work over a period of months. You will see the colour in your roof tiles returning.

By using this service, customers can potentially avoid the costly need of replacing a roof and enjoy tiles that are moss free and algae free for many years.

Included in Clear and Cleans roof cleaning service:

Full gutter vacuum after the roof has been treated.

All gutters and down pipes will be washed using our hot reach and wash system, and all windows will be cleaned.

The high-quality ingredient of 50% DDAC content is the maximum strength government approved Biocide available on the market this gives Biocide a soft and gentle treatment that kills organic growth and disinfects without damaging surfaces and the environment. Once dry, the solution is PH neutral so it has the benefit of a low environmental footprint and biodegrades quickly. The biocide will then protect your roof for many years from organic growth. This method of cleaning has proven to be successful in the professional cleaning industry.
